Join the Client IT Delivery Data Digital Analytics and Technology (DDAT) division as a Conversational AI Engineer specializing in Google Conversational AI platforms and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). You will design develop and optimize cutting-edge conversational experiences that empower members and providers with reliable context-aware health insurance answers through digital channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build advanced conversational flows using Google Dialogflow CX and Vertex AI focusing on context-sensitive intent fulfillment.
- Implement Retrieval Augmented Generation by integrating enterprise APIs and external knowledge bases to generate accurate dynamic responses.
- Apply industry best practices for AI conversation design clean coding and reusable NLP patterns.
- Collaborate with UI/UX backend and data engineering teams to develop integration points and conversational triggers.
- Lead full lifecycle chatbot development from design to deployment testing and ongoing enhancements.
- Ensure seamless multi-platform delivery (web mobile voice) leveraging Google Cloud APIs and technologies.
- Utilize Googles NLP and speech-to-text capabilities enhancing dialog accuracy and natural language understanding.
- Continuously research emerging generative AI and conversational innovations to maintain solution excellence.
- Tune speech recognition and text-to-speech models with advanced Speech Synthesis Markup Language (SSML) techniques.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years in software engineering with 2 years focused on chatbot development using Google Dialogflow CX Vertex AI or equivalent platforms.
- Strong expertise in NLP best practices and intent training data curation.
- Experience with enterprise AI/chatbot frameworks and backend integration.
- Knowledge of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and external knowledge source integration.
- Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD Git workflows and cloud deployments (preferably GCP).
- Proficiency in backend programming (Java Python) and frontend development (JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Agile working experience with end-to-end software development lifecycle understanding.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with Google Cloud Speech-to-Text and Vertex AI Search.
- Skill in SSML tagging for TTS refinement.
- Experience integrating unstructured data and semantic document search with conversational agents.
