About the Role
As Deputy Manager – Sourcing & NPD you will play a strategic role in shaping our supply base
and driving cost optimization across India and APAC. This position is critical to ensuring supply
continuity accelerating sourcing initiatives and supporting new product development. You will
lead commodity strategies manage supplier relationships and deliver measurable results in
successful transitions material productivity and operational eiciency.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing Leadership: Develop and execute commodity strategies for
Castings Gears Forgings Machining and Mechanical distribution parts.
Cost Optimization: Drive year-over-year savings through supplier contracts supply
base rationalization and performance improvement.
Project Execution: Lead sourcing transition projects (Buy-to-Buy Make-to-Buy Make-
to-Make) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business cases and
results.
Supplier Management: Build strong supplier partnerships oversee
selection/deselection processes and ensure compliance with approval standards.
Market Intelligence: Monitor commodity trends emerging technologies and supply
chain risks to proactively manage cost and continuity.
Negotiation & Contracts: Handle RFIs/RFQs competitive bidding and negotiate
agreements aligned with market conditions.
Inventory & Lead Time Reduction: Implement VMI/consignment models and optimize
supply chain responsiveness.
Collaboration: Work closely with global supply chain teams engineering and product
management to drive cost reduction and innovation.
Performance Metrics: Ensure fiscal controls and track KPIs including cost savings
working capital improvement project management and inflation mitigation.

Expertise in Castings Forgings Gears & Machining processes and Total Cost of
Ownership (TCO) models.
Hands-on experience in supplier assessment risk management and contract
negotiation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management across global teams.
Collaborative mindset and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical Production Industrial or Metallurgy Engineering.
10 years in strategic sourcing with exposure to global supply bases.
ERP/MRP experience (Oracle JD Edwards preferred).
