Whats in it for You
Our Self Serve Business Intelligence team is focused on enabling strong data exploration and
analytics across the organisation. The team manages Tableau dashboards provides
foundational Tableau systems administration and resolves connectivity issues across
platforms. We also oversee Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud including license utilisation
and allocation. As the organisation continues to scale its analytical maturity this team plays
a key role in expanding Tableau adoption across business functions and setting standards for
canonical dashboards and curated data sources. The team also contributes to company wide
analytics education.

As a Tableau and Analytical Systems Engineer you will strengthen our data visualisation
ecosystem and ensure seamless data exploration for stakeholders. Your work will span
installation configuration maintenance and support of Tableau Server environments. You
will manage user accounts permissions and security settings across analytics systems
monitor performance and troubleshoot issues related to Tableau and its integrations. Your
contribution will support our goal of building a data literate culture and ensuring reliable
analytical infrastructure.

What Will You Be Doing
  • Install configure and maintain multi node Linux based Tableau Server environments
    and Tableau Cloud including upgrades and patches
  • Manage user accounts permissions and security configurations across analytical
    systems
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to Tableau
    integrations and upstream data systems
  • Automate tasks such as deployment of data sources or workbooks alerting and
    integrations with Airflow using scripting languages
  • Collaborate with the Tableau vendor on support cases enhancements and product
    fixes
  • Partner with analysts and data teams to understand visualisation needs and deliver
    efficient Tableau solutions
  • Track server activity and usage insights to identify performance improvements
  • Create and maintain data extracts refresh schedules and quality checks
  • Manage migrations of dashboards and workbooks across development and
    production environments
  • Document procedures and administration practices for all analytical systems
  • Stay updated on latest Tableau features product updates and industry best practices
  • Maintain server logs backups and metadata exports
  • Provide training onboarding support and guidance to users on Tableau Desktop and
    Server


Requirements

What Makes You the Perfect Fit
  • At least 3 years of experience in Tableau Server administration
  • Strong technical experience with AWS and familiarity with Linux
  • Two or more years of coding experience in Python or JavaScript with additional
    scripting knowledge in PowerShell or Bash
  • Experience in designing cloud architectures for compute and storage
  • Strong understanding of relational databases such as Postgres SQL and Trino or Hive
  • Experience with Tableau APIs and Airflow is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly collaborate effectively and work both independently
    and in a team environment

58 years of overall experience with Oracle middleware including 3 years hands-on with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). Proven experience integrating Oracle ERP Cloud / E-Business Suite with third-party applications. Strong proficiency in OIC SQL PL/SQL Web Services (SOAP REST) JSON/XML and XSLT processing.
