Penrith City Council is looking to employ committed enthusiastic and passionate individuals to undertake a 2 year traineeship as Trainee Asset Officer. Your positive attitude willingness to learn and strong customer focus will ensure you are successful in securing this exciting opportunity.
As a Trainee Asset Officer you will complete a Certificate IV in Government whilst gaining valuable information and industry experience in a supportive environment. The traineeship will commence in early 2026.
This role supports the Parks and Open Space Strategic Asset Management Team by assisting in the management of open space infrastructure assets through tasks such as onsite (outdoor) inspections data entry and administrative support. The role supports accurate asset information and contributes to informed planning and decision-making across a range of strategic and operational functions within Council.
Essential criteria
Commencing salary: $827.40 - $947.70 per week plus 12% Superannuation.
You will be required to undertake employment checks which may include a Criminal History Check Qualification Check Working with Children Check Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council for review in order to progress through the recruitment process.
