Job Summary:

Job Duties:

• Delivers supplies equipment medication and other materials to the patient units and other designated areas in a safe timely and accurate manner.
• Ensures that a handoff of medication occurs with the nurse.
• Maintain a courteous professional demeanor and communicates appropriately with patients visitors hospital personnel and fellow employees at all times.
• Perform inspections and disinfecting procedures on transportation equipment utilized by the department.
• Records transportation data electronically and manually on appropriate forms and logs utilized by the department.
• Reports the status of transportation activities and abnormal activities to the manager in charge.
• Transport patients and adjunct equipment via prescribed vehicles between patient units treatment centers and their designated areas in a safe timely and accurate manner.

Work is typically performed in a transportation vehicle office residences commercial buildings medical facilities and public places. Requires the ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Requires sitting and driving a vehicle for an extended period of time. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
