Job Summary

Minimum Qualifications
1. Possession of a Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in Nutrition Dietetics or Dietetics and Food Administration. OR 2. Possession of a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in any of the above AND a Masters Degree in Chemistry Public Health or Family and Consumer Studies/Home Economics. OR 3. Possession of a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Nutrition Dietetics or Dietetics and Food Administration AND certification as a Registered Dietician. 4. May submit a fully satisfied lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in Nutritional Science and Dietetics. (California credentials were no longer issued after July 1 1990). OR 5. The equivalent qualifications. (Candidates who claim equivalency must provide conclusive evidence as clear and reliable on the college transcripts as required on the District Equivalency Application Form. Refer to the Equivalency Procedures below. This is not a process to waive the minimum qualifications.) AND 6 Applicant must have demonstrated cultural competency sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college staff faculty and students.
