Job Summary
Position Overview
dormakaba is seeking a Machinist II based in Indianapolis IN. The Machinist II is responsible for performing machine setups and tool changes and making adjustments as necessary.
This position is available on Second Shift (2PM 10:30PM) with a base pay range of $23 hr. - $27/hr. Mandatory overtime as needed.
$2000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)
What you will do
- Operate machine according to standard operating instructions
- Document and inspect quality of work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP)
- Use micrometers height gauges calipers and comparator
- Understand work orders and routings
- Follow all environmental health & safety policies and procedures
- Daily 5Shousekeeping
What we require
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Extensive experience (operating setups tool changes etc.)
- Understanding of: shop math blueprint reading/comprehension and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience using precision measuring instruments
- Ability to perform advanced quality inspections
What we prefer
- SAP or Enterprise system knowledge
- Documented manufacturing education/training
- Experience in applying similar quality control concepts
- Computer proficiency
- Lean skills
- Fluency in both verbal and written English
