- Technical resource for environmental management and monitoring plan (EMMP) environmental baseline surveys (EBS) environmental impact assessment (EIA)
- Design develop and update EMMP technical specification for terrestrial environments in compliance with regulatory requirements and project objectives.
- Define monitoring indicators methodologies and reporting frameworks.
- Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
- Coordinate and conduct field monitoring activities including soil vegetation wildlife and habitat assessments.
- Perform monitoring for water quality air quality and noise levels in terrestrial project areas.
- Verify accurate data collection analysis and reporting to stakeholders.
- Monitor adherence to environmental standards permits and legal obligations.
- Analyze monitoring results and recommend effective mitigation measures to minimize environmental impacts.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies contractors and other stakeholder representatives.
- Prepare and present environmental performance reports.
- Contribute to adaptive management strategies based on monitoring results.
- Research and integrate best practices and innovative technologies for environmental monitoring.
- Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
- Develop cost estimates of technical efforts for EMMP EBS and EIA projects
- Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Environmental Science Ecology Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in environmental management monitoring and compliance for terrestrial projects.
- Experience with environmental monitoring techniques (soil water air noise).
- Familiarity with EIA EMMP and EBS processes.
- Ability to use data analysis tools (Excel GIS or statistical software).
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and coordinate field activities.
- Experience with field surveys and sampling protocols.
- Budgeting and cost estimation skills for environmental projects.
