Graduate Fire Safety EngineerThe Opportunity
Are you ready to apply your engineering skills to meaningful real-world challenges As a Graduate Fire Safety Engineer youll have the opportunity to contribute to projects nationwide across a diverse range of sectors including buildings defence and transport infrastructure.
In this role youll gain hands-on experience in performance-based fire safety design developing holistic strategies that protect people buildings and critical assets. Through mentorship and involvement in live projects youll build a solid foundation in fire safety engineering and play a key role in shaping safer more resilient environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess how fires start spread and impact structures and occupants.
Apply scientific and engineering principles to reduce fire risk protect people and assets and ensure compliance with relevant building codes and standards.
Conduct fire and smoke modelling pedestrian egress modelling and risk assessments to inform fire safety strategies.
Prepare technical documentation including fire safety strategy reports performance-based design briefs and fire engineering reports outlining design solutions.
Who are you
Were looking for a motivated and curious graduate who is eager to build a career in fire safety engineering. To be successful in this role you will hold a bachelors or masters degree in mechanical structural aerospace chemical or a related engineering discipline. You will bring strong problem-solving and analytical skills effective communication and interpersonal capability and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain required clearances are essential for this position.
