Description

Industrial Scientific is looking for a summer 2026 Software Engineering Intern! The ideal candidate will have the desire and aptitude to work with cutting edge technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking organization thats always pushing boundaries. Our ideal candidate has experience across the stack and a firm understanding of web frameworks APIs databases and back-end languages.

As a Software Engineering Intern you would enjoy the challenge of building software features for a product that leads to improvement in safety outcomes. You would be joining a team and organization that embraces open collaboration and teamwork undertakes agile development provides opportunities for learning and growth all the while focused on the mission of eliminating death on the job by 2050.

Responsibilities:

Build scalable software components that are efficient stable and extensible
Ensure all code written is robust secure efficient and meets the requirements
Implement unit testing to ensure adequate test coverage
Create/Update system technical and functional documentation
Design develop and deliver software applications to support mission critical software products

Qualifications:

Actively pursuing a degree in software engineering or related field graduating December 2026 or later.
Experience with Java Spring Boot iNet Core PostgreSQL MongoDB
Experiencein designing and building front end applications using React (other JavaScript frameworks such as are nice to have)
Knowledge of Javascript and Typescript programming languages
Familiarity with creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Creative problem-solver with a growth mindset
Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
