Job Summary

Specialized Program Board Certified Behavior Analyst Job Description (SY23-24)Reports to: Director of Inclusion Education:Summary of Position Impact: The Specialized Program BCBA will ensure that all specialized programstudents within a target school are supported to access greater opportunities within their grade levelgeneral education environment through the assessment of needs areas and prescription of behaviorallybased teaching and learning practices in collaboration with the specialized program teacher andcorresponding related service providers. This position requires assessment of student needs design ofindividualized learning programs and corresponding data collection systems monitoring progress towardskill attainment making necessary adjustments and revisions to programming based on data collected bythe classroom team and will support the ultimate goal of capacity building across all specialized programstaff members. The specialized program BCBA will also work collaboratively with the classroom teacherto develop classroom-wide behavior management systems that emulate those present in the generaleducation environment to ensure students accessing the specialized program settings have access to thesupports and tools necessary for increased opportunities in the inclusive setting. The appropriatecandidate for this position will have a demonstrated commitment to the use of least restrictiveinterventions/settings and value assent based practice in behavior - REQUIRED Masters Degree in Education Behavior Analysis Psychology or related field Current Valid BCBA Certification Current LABA Certification or willingness to obtain state licensure 3 years experience with at least one as a teacher or ancillary school provider preferred Citizenship residency or work visa required Knowledge of state and federal Special Education law policy and practices Ability and willingness to travel to schools across the district and the Central Office as studentneeds and duties dictateJOB RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILL SET Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of prescribed interventions and strategies used withindividuals with a variety of learner profiles (e.g. developmental disabilities autism spectrumdisorder etc.) and prescribe corresponding adjustments to practice based on data in acollaborative student centered manner Demonstrated commitment to diversity to close the opportunity gap by ensuring all students haveaccess to the highest quality instruction Demonstrated ability to apply a racial equity lens to decision making Experience designing facilitating and coordinating professional learning experiences Strong relationship skills with a focus on rapport building and problem solving Strong communication skills (verbal written presentation etc.) Working knowledge of general education curriculum content MA Curriculum Frameworks andCommon Core State Standards (formal coursework/training preferred) Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with teams ofeducators related service providers (SLP OT PT ETF) and classroom paraprofessionals Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to equity and quality of life outcomes for allstudents Solid data collection and data analysis skills including the ability to use data collected to supportteam decision making and altering of practice/approaches in progress Strong note taking documentation and case management/follow up skills Effective time management skills Ability to think critically while demonstrating the flexibility needed to ensure successful studentoutcomes Regular communication and case conceptualization with Director of Inclusive Education and/ordistrict consultants Current Safety Care Specialist or Trainer Certification or willingness to be certified Experiencing serving students and families within a large urban school districtSpecialized Program Board Certified Behavior Analyst Job Description (SY23-24)Reports to: Director of Inclusion Education Ability to consistently and enthusiastically promote high student expectations across a variety ofprogram locations Delivery of staff training related to student needs and behaviorally based practices Real time coaching (including modeling and demonstrating) of staff during implementation ofsupportive behaviorally based evidence based practices Provide consultation to students at elementary or secondary levels with a variety of learningneeds and learner profiles supported in the specialized program classroom setting Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and skills-based assessments (VB MAPP ABLLS-RAFLS Socially Savvy) Design (as part of a multidisciplinary team) and draft classroom widebehavior management systems and individualized behavior intervention plans. Develop a variety of behaviorally based programming and corresponding materials to includeDTT and NET teaching methodologies. Provide continued review and refinement of behaviorally based programming in order to meetstudent IEP goals and objectives. Collect and analyze data and prepare a variety of reports for the purpose of documenting casehistory assessments and treatment needs. Conduct initial and ongoing staff training specific to behaviorally based teaching practices. Work effectively with team members professional and community contacts school staff andparents ensuring collaboration and continuity of services across home and communityenvironments.
