Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy services to patients focusing on improving their functional abilities and independence. This includes patient safety goals infection prevention fall/risk assessment and addressing acute and chronic disorders. The therapist will work with patients to improve their functional activities and may float between similar units as needed.
Location:Santa Rosa California United States
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient safety protocols.
- Implement infection prevention measures.
- Conduct fall/risk assessments.
- Provide occupational therapy interventions for acute and chronic disorders.
- Focus on improving patients functional activities.
- Document patient care and progress accurately.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Coordinates equipment/supply needs. Notifies appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Perform any other related duties (e.g. clerical technical duties) as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Manual Therapy certification
- Hand Therapy certification
- Active Occupational Therapist license
- AHA BLS Provider CPR certification
- 1 year of experience
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- N/A
Special Considerations:
- Facility may call off once per two-week pay period.
- RTO must be included at the time of submission.
- Floating between like units is required.
- Block scheduling is per manager discretion.
Scheduling:
- ASAP start date preferred.
- Orientation is 16 hours.
- Guaranteed hours.
