Supplier Quality Engineer

The Supplier Quality Engineer will provide leadership to ensure best-in class quality of product and services to ELIP and its this role you will be responsible for developing and execute strategies in collaboration with plants and sourcing teams to establish a robust supplier quality system as well as drive sustainable improvements in the quality of products and services within the ELIP supply base.

This is hands-on role serving on the front lines of protecting our customers and supply chain processes. The ideal work location for this role is Hackettstown NJ (#LI-Hybrid)In this role our successful candidate should plan to travel up to 25%.

• Driving approval process for supplier parts materials and project subcontractor services as applicable involving collaboration with other functions/experts encompassing activities like Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and product surveillance at supplier manufacturing sites.

• Leading in promptly addressing supply issues related to quality deliveries non-compliant products or project services.

• Working together with buyers to engage suppliers and prepare claims cases when necessary.

• Ensuring required supplier development processes are thoroughly executed to drive continuous improvement of the supplier base.

• Bachelors degree in engineering

• 2 years in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing Quality with a significant portion of experience spent in dealing with supplier quality issues

• Preferred experience with categories such as raw materials (steel copper aluminum) plastic resins injection molded parts sheet metal and stampings fasteners and castings as well as knowledge of quality standards such as IATF 16949

• Strong oral and written communication in English with problem solving and change management of facilitation skills.

• Valid drivers licencse is required for regular business travel.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicants qualifications and experience this position is expected to pay between $57400 and $91840 annually.
