Huron Consulting Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Patient Access Manager to join our Managed Services team supporting Munson Healthcare. This role will oversee patient access operations at Manistee Hospital Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital (Frankfort) and Cadillac Hospital ensuring high-quality service delivery and operational consistency across all three locations.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with a strong background in patient registration scheduling and front-end revenue cycle operations. A key focus of this role is driving patient satisfaction through efficient workflows and compassionate service.
This position requires onsite presence three days per week across the three facilities with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage patient access teams across Manistee Frankfort and Cadillac sites.
- Oversee patient registration and front-end operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Drive improvements in patient satisfaction through service excellence and staff engagement.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as registration accuracy patient wait times Point of Service Collections and throughput.
- Collaborate with Munson Healthcare leadership and Hurons Managed Services team to implement best practices and process improvements.
- Provide coaching training and performance feedback to onsite staff.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA CMS and other regulatory requirements.
- Resolve patient concerns and support a positive patient experience.
- Travel weekly to each site to maintain visibility support staff and address operational needs.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Effective and efficient organization and planning skills with the proven ability to manage complex multi-workstream performance improvement projects or multiple concurrent client engagements while delegating and overseeing the work of junior team members
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills required to synthesize complex data sets and interpret qualitative and quantitative data and trends to implement recommendations resulting in measurable performance improvement and successful organizational change
- Impactful and professional written and verbal communication set clear project team direction develop key deliverables escalate risks and influence key stakeholders inclusive of client and internal senior leadership
- Ability to collaborate with team members and client counterparts to understand business challenges adapt implementation methodologies and approaches to ensure results align with clients business objectives
- Team leadership experience including building talent training supervising coaching/mentoring and performance management
- U.S. work authorization required
- Bachelors degree required
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Word PowerPoint Excel)
- Direct Supervisory Experience required
- Patient Financial Services experience required 1-3 years in a leadership capacity preferred
- 5 years of healthcare operations experience
The estimated salary range for this job is $80000 - $105000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors including but not limited to specific skills or certifications years of experience market changes and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Hurons annual incentive compensation program which reflects Hurons pay for performance philosophy and Hurons benefit plans which include medical dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
