This is an exciting opportunity to join Amazon in contributing to its next generation SOCs for the machine learning enabled consumer products.
As a Silicon & Systems Engineer in the Silicon Validation team you will drive and execute SOC deployment in development and production phases of products by working with multi-functional teams. You will lead focused RCA (Root Cause Analysis) activities for silicon-related failures within your assigned scope while developing and maintaining test code/methodology to debug silicon/SOC issues.
Key job responsibilities
Lead and execute RCA (Root Cause Analysis) activities for silicon-related failures within assigned projects coordinating with immediate stakeholders.
Drive qualification activities for peripheral parts like memories & storage based on customer requirements within defined scope.
Develop and maintain design collateral for product teams and contribute to design reviews from a silicon standpoint.
Lead risk assessment & containment activities for specific silicon/hardware failures escalating complex issues as needed.
Drive integration/debug procedures for new HW features at system level within assigned areas including validation plans and debug methodology across Validation and ATE environments.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 6 years of experience in the Semiconductor industry.
- Understanding of ARM V8/V9 Architecture and familiarity with Multimedia SoC hardware features.
- Experience with Linux OS low layer interaction with Silicon and related debug methodology.
- Experience with SOC bring-up and post-silicon validation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and deliver results.
- Experience working effectively with software teams on HW/SW interface requirements.
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience driving solutions for products failure in volume production phase
- Knowledge of Bare Metal Environment development including linker scripts page tables and NVIC.
- Experience working with high-speed interfaces (DDR/HDMI/EMMC/USB/PCIe) low layer enabling and debug.
- Experience in semiconductor design work including chip and subsystem integration.
- Track record of leading small-scale technical initiatives to completion.
