In Kansas City Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administrations (NNSA) Kansas City National Security state-of-the-art engineering manufacturing and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the FM&Ts culture of integrity commitment and continuous improvement enables them to deliver responsive collaborative and innovative management and technology services and products that translate into cutting edge solutions to complex national security issues.

Summary

This role will perform or assist in the performance of internal and external quality surveys/audits or performance-based assessments. Assesses conformance to and effectiveness of operating practices for satisfaction of the requirements contained in drawings specifications operating requirements and internal procedures. Evaluates overall level of performance in major functional areas identifying strengths and concerns related to an areas organization processes procedures and programs. Reports results and publishes or assists in the development of final reports.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The successful applicant will administrate the Corrective Action Request (CAR) system facilitate the Cause Analysis/Mistake proofing (CA/MP) process for teams working with supplier response serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for CARs and assist in maintaining relevant command media and related Work Instructions (WIs).
  • Coach stakeholders and peers on the fundamentals of Root Cause Analysis
  • Facilitate cross functional teams to evaluate causal factors
  • Provide written documented evidence of investigations supporting systemic issue identification and resolution
  • Ensures containment corrective actions and effectiveness reviews are completed for all CARs
  • Effectively communicate with peers and colleagues regarding status of investigations
  • Establishes and maintains proficiency in performance assessment quality assurance and root cause analysis methodology.

You Must Have

  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelors degree in a technical or business-related field or two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree
  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to work remote hybrid or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job

We Value

  • Prior root cause analysis experience is a plus
  • Prior experience with containment corrective actions and effectiveness reviews for nonconformists
