Job Summary
Introduction
Our client a leader within the telecoms industry based in Johannesburg is looking for a Solution Architect.
The successful candidate will provide pre-sales technical support to clients and the sales bid and commercial teams. They will review client needs and design end-to-end optimized technical and commercial solutions. They will ensure technical capacity and inventory feasibility to meet service level agreements timescales and budget.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide technical pre-sales support for the sales and provisioning processes.
- Design technical solutions including creating internal and client facing technical documentation.
- Identify solution concerns issues contractual challenges and mitigate appropriately.
- Develop technical product descriptions architectures and functionality documentation.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelors degree.
- 8 years technical experience in the telecom industry with 5 years experience as a Solution Architect or similar.
- Expert knowledge in service delivery sales support network infrastructure and operations support.
- Intermediate knowledge of Transmission (DWDM OTN SDH) IP (Peering IP Transit Layer 2/3 services) Fibre Colocation and Subsea networks.
- Expert knowledge and experience in GIS systems.
- Experience with product and technology development cycle including technical product development and fulfillment assurance and billing procedures.
- Experience in a network engineering role focused on design and planning of Transmission or IP networks.
