Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Composite Materials Manufacturing and Assembly Quality Engineer to join our Quality this role you will be a cornerstone in ensuring the highest quality in the production of composite material components and assembly. You will work in a dynamic and technologically advanced environment ensuring compliance with strict aerospace quality standards driving the digitalization of our processes and collaborating closely with multifunctional and transnational teams.
Responsibilities
Quality Assurance:
Ensure products are delivered with quality and in compliance with processes and standards.
Define and cascade quality standards (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis Statistical Process Control Advanced Product Quality Planning Problem Solving Measurement System Analysis).
Lead strategic and innovation projects aligned with our transformation goals.
Provide robust compliance advice direction and support to the organization.
Conduct process and product audits identify non-conformities and lead root cause investigations.
Develop and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent their recurrence.
Manage and approve quality deviations and concessions according to established procedures.
Digitalization and Continuous Improvement:
Drive the integration of digital tools and solutions to enhance the efficiency and traceability of quality processes
Actively participate in defining and implementing Quality strategies leveraging
predictive analytics to identify trends and optimize decision-making.
Collaborate in the development and implementation of digitized quality management systems.
Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects focused on optimizing quality reducing non-quality costs and improving operational efficiency.
Multifunctional and Transnational Collaboration:
Work closely with Design Engineering Materials and Process Engineering
Manufacturing Engineering and Production teams to ensure quality from early
design stages through product delivery and support.
Participate in design and manufacturing reviews to ensure "quality by design" and manufacturability
Clearly and concisely communicate quality findings recommendations and action progress to all levels of the organization.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Academic Background:
University degree in Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering Materials Engineering Industrial Engineering or related disciplines.
Experience:
Proven experience in manufacturing quality manufacturing engineering or
engineering with knowledge of composite materials manufacturing processes and procedures as well as assembly.
Project Management:
Demonstrable experience in managing quality or continuous improvement projects including scope definition planning execution monitoring and closure.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Project Management certification (e.g. PMP Prince2) is a plus.
Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of composite materials manufacturing processes (carbon fiber resins prepregs curing etc.) and their quality characteristics.
Experience in aircraft structure and system assembly operations.
Knowledge of aerospace quality regulations and standards (EN/AS9100 EASA Part 21G/J).
Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA 8D Ishikawa SPC MSA).
Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Digital Skills:
Experience or familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) PLM
(Product Lifecycle Management).
Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) and/or progra ming
(Python R) is a plus.
Interest and ability to adopt new digital technologies in the quality field.
Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present
complex information clearly.
High level in English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
