POSITION SUMMARYThe Newman Lab seeks a part-time
Clinical Research Technician to support a longitudinal study mapping human biorhythms. This role blends patient-facing clinical procedures with detailed laboratory processing ensuring high-quality data collection and strict adherence to protocol and Good Clinical Practice.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical & Data Collection Support- Assist with clinical assessments (vitals anthropometrics) physical testing (CPET spirometry grip strength leg press) and challenge visits (OGTT maximal exercise tests).
- Support setup maintenance and data syncing for study wearables and devices.
- Administer and score select questionnaires and cognitive tests; maintain accurate case report forms.
Laboratory & Biospecimen Handling- Prepare reagents and collection kits; assist with collecting and processing biospecimens (blood urine stool swabs).
- Package and ship samples to certified labs; maintain a clean compliant clinical and lab space.
COMPENSATION- $24 - $28 per hour
- On-site part-time (M-F days/evenings)
- 401(k) eligibility 5% employer match after 1 year
QUALIFICATIONS- High School Diploma required interest in biology physiology or health sciences.
- Prior lab or clinical research experience preferred; human subjects experience or phlebotomy is a plus.
- Strong technical aptitude attention to detail communication and organizational skills; able to work both independently and within a team.
