Mechanical Subsystem Engineer (MSE)
The Mechanical System Engineer is accountable for managing supplier development of product bought on specification (driver seat cabin floor glazing window access doors coupling system lighting system air tank roller blind...)
Main activities :
- Realize the Technical Purchasing Specifications (TPS).
- Modify/update the existing TPS when necessary.
- Validate supplier clause-by-clause (commitment to requirements) during RFQ phase.
- Manage the development schedule and the supplier during the DFQ cycle.
- Contribute to the design freeze of the product.
- Interact with the project core team other metiers and other departments (purchasing maintenance quality supply chain ...).
- Validate the product validation plan.
- Monitor and validate test reports.
- Monitor and/or attend to the FAI (First Article Inspection) at the suppliers site.
- Manage the product documentation.
- Manage the requirements kpi.
- Support production and quality teams during part assembly.
- Manage product modifications.
- Participate to tender phase when necessary.
- Occasional travel.
Experience :
- Significant experience (>5 years) in product development (ideally in railway).
- Supplier management.
Competencies & skills :
- Fluent in English and French.
- Mechanical architecture interface management mechanical integration materials mechanical integrity.
- Project management.
- Requirement management (DOORS).
- Like challenges and discover new disciplines.
Knowledge :
- Lighting system or the wish to learn about it.
- Basics of Catiav5 and/or DMA is appreciated.
Behavior :
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Conflict management resolution.
- Customer satisfaction oriented.
