Service Technician / Field Service Technician / Pump Engineer required to join a leading manufacture and developer of pump engineering solutions within the Marine Defence & Process industry.
The successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Pump Engineer will provide mechanical and electrical repair service maintenance and commissioning on various pumps systems valves actuators pipework hydraulics and associated marine products.
The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Pump Engineer will ideally have a background in mechanical engineering with experience in electrical products like PLCs and ideally working with the marine or defence industry predominantly within pumps the industry experience is desirable not a must.
The role with have a high travel requirements and high overtime opportunities working within the Martine industry.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Pump Engineer Role
To provide mechanical and electrical repair service maintenance and commissioning on pump stations piping valves pipeline tanks guiderails hydraulic actuators & ancillary fittings.
Designing manufacturing fabrication and servicing marine and defence applications.
Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various pump and fluid power systems.
Reading PLCs like Allen Bradley and Siemens
Liaise with various engineering departments.
Mostly working with centrifugal positive displacement and internal gear pumps.
Step in an act as a site supervisor when its needed.
Working in confined spaces or at hight.
Build and maintains good working relationships with clients fellow colleagues and higher management
A remote role with an expectation of 140-180 travel days a year.
Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Pump Engineer Requirements
Proven diagnostic skills with mechanical engineering products such as pumps valves actuators pipework tankers for marine applications.
Would have come from a Pump engineer Service Engineer Commissioning engineer Fitter Field Service Engineer Mechanical Engineer Remote Service Engineer or something similar.
An understanding of PLS systems such as Siemens and Allen Bradley
Experience with Ballast water systems would be helpful
An Ex Forces background would be greatly considered
Analyse and solve engineering problems and further develop solutions to overcome potential issues that arise.
No office requirement A lot of plane travel with flexibility to travel the US.
