Two years of experience in custodial housekeeping groundskeeping or food service work.

Job Duties:

• Supervise 815 Custodians and oversee cleaning operations for sq. ft. of assigned facilities.
• Provide in-service training on custodial methods equipment safety and department policies.
• Maintain performance documentation and complete Performance Planning and Review (PPR) evaluations in accordance with Civil Service guidelines.
• Assist custodial staff with daily cleaning tasks and provide coverage when staff are absent.
• Inspect buildings and recommend improvements in cleaning products floor care methods and overall maintenance practices.
• Ensure effective communication with custodial staff peers and university leadership.
• Oversee cleaning and upkeep of classrooms offices laboratories restrooms entrances hallways and stairwells.
• Ensure waste removal dusting surface cleaning glass cleaning and floor care (dust mopping spot mopping and scheduled full mopping) are performed to standard.
• Maintain restrooms through daily cleaning disinfecting fixtures restocking supplies and removing graffiti promptly.
• Perform related duties necessary to maintain a clean safe and orderly facility environment.
