Position Details:

Clinical Techniciansat The Johns Hopkins Hospital have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as contributing members of the healthcare team. Ongoing education is provided to all Clinical Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.

Infection prevention is paramount to this delicate population. Our Infection Prevention/Hygiene PCTs are instrumental in ensuring that patients get baths CHG treatments linen changes and oral hygiene.

OurPediatric Oncology Inpatient Unitis a combination of Medical Oncology and Stem cell transplant patients. This patient population includes patients with Leukemia (ALL and AML) Brain tumors Sarcomas (Rhabdomyosarcoma Osteosarcoma Ewings Sarcoma) neuroblastomaand Wilms Tumor. The units Stem Cell transplant patients include patients being treated for malignancies and or non-malignant diseases (such as Sickle Cell Disease Aplastic Anemia Thalessemia SCID). The staff cares for patients of various ages (birth to 26 years of age).

  • One year of clinical experience e.g. home care outpatient acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience.
  • Licensure/Certifications:

    • Nursing Assistant Certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing required.
    • Current CPR certification

    Salary Range: Minimum 18.41/hour - Maximum 27.70/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
