ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Other duties may be assigned. |
Coaches individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved. Provide necessary documents necessary for the squads involving letters calendars notes etc. as needed. Assist the squads with tryouts. Fills in as a substitute coach in classes and activities as needed by a cheer coach. Attends a minimum of 2-3 practices per week. Assists squads with summer camp or preparation for camp as needed. Assists with the organization of fundraising. Enforces discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and establishes and oversees penalties for breach of such standards by individual students through their coaches. Maintains competency in rules rule interpretations meet procedures coaching techniques and general information about all aspects of the sport. Enforces established performance criteria for eligibility in this sport. Adheres to a highly efficient and technically sound program of injury prevention and follow up. Develops a consistent and positive public communications procedure. |
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises students in our cheer programs. |

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Valid teaching certificate and courses in coaching theory is preferred. Experience in coaching first-aid CPR and sports medicine. |
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of students or employees of the district.
