Project Manager Data Center
Location: Milan or Rome Italy
We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the development construction and commissioning of electrical and utilities infrastructure for a new data centre in Italy. This role will also support business development and strategic initiatives related to project development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead energy & utilities projects from concept to delivery ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Coordinate with engineers contractors stakeholders and utility providers for HV/MV infrastructure.
- Supervise the design and construction of substations and power lines ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Manage resources budgets schedules and quality control processes.
- Track project progress conduct regular meetings and escalate issues as necessary.
- Negotiate contracts and bids with contractors developers and consultants.
- Support site due diligence activities and resolve factors impacting project handover.
- Review deliverables raise queries and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare progress reports to support decision-making and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Industrial Energy Engineering or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of HV/MV electrical systems and Italian electricity regulations; experience in other European markets is a plus.
- 3 years experience working with DSOs TSO suppliers or utilities.
- Proven experience in planning design permitting and construction of HV/MV substations and underground power lines.
- Familiarity with power line concessions interconnection agreements and utility operating models in Italy.
- Experience with data centre clients is an advantage.
- Strong analytical problem-solving negotiation and communication skills.
- Proactive autonomous flexible and commercially astute.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
