Detroit Recovery Project Inc. (DRP) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that provides outpatient recovery support services for those with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We treat the whole person through our integrated programs of primary medical and behavioral healthcare.
Our program philosophy is rooted in developing a healthy recovery ecosystem for those seeking long-term recovery. Through strong therapeutic relationships with our clients helping them to understand the underlying social and emotional issues that drive their substance use the recovery ecosystem focuses on five key areas:

What were looking for:
DRP is currently seeking a full-time dedicated and reliable Facilities Assistantto support the daily operations of our Youth Recovery House serving young adults ages 1824 in recovery. This role plays an essential part in maintaining a safe supportive and structured environment where residents can focus on their wellness and long-term recovery.
Compensation Range:The starting pay range for this position is $55000 per year and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience. This is a salaried role that is ineligible for overtime compensation.
The Ideal candidate will:
  • Assist in the daily oversight of the Youth Recovery House ensuring a clean safe and well-maintained living environment for residents
  • Support residents by facilitating intake processes monitoring adherence to house rules and providing guidance as needed to promote successful program participation
  • Conduct regular facility walk-throughs to identify maintenance needs safety concerns or behavioral issues and report them promptly to leadership
  • Collaborate with clinical and peer support staff to ensure residents care plans are supported through structured routines appointments and wellness activities
  • Maintain inventory of supplies coordinate repairs and assist in ensuring compliance with health safety and regulatory standards
  • Document incidents resident concerns and facility updates in accordance with organizational policies
  • Serve as a positive role model fostering an environment rooted in respect recovery principles and youth empowerment
  • Have a great attitude and people skills; strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Have a flexible work schedule to include the occasional evening holiday and weekend as needed
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Associates degree in guidance and counseling psychology social work vocational rehabilitation business or public health administration or a related field is preferred
  • First Aid/CPR Certification preferred
  • Training in human services behavioral health or related fields preferred
  • Experience working with youth or young adults particularly those with substance use or co-occurring disorders strongly preferred
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries while providing supportive guidance
  • Strong communication problem-solving and observational skills
  • Ability to manage basic facility operations identify maintenance needs and ensure a safe environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends as needed
  • A valid and unrestricted State of Michigan Drivers License proof of insurance and reliable transportation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Electronic Health/Medical Records Systems
