KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have successfully completed a Personal Support Worker (PSW) program and obtained certification that meets the program requirements set by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities for an Ontario postsecondary institution or district school board to issue a personal support worker certificate.
Two to three years of experience providing personal care to seniors and others is preferred.
Good oral and written communication skills with a competent level of English are required.
Must possess good listening and time management skills.
Must demonstrate an ability to respond effectively to the needs of others in a timely and courteous manner.
Must have a proven ability to work well under pressure and demonstrate high commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Must be reliable punctual and capable of managing time effectively.
Must be available to work within a 24 hour seven day/week work schedule.
Must be able to develop supportive relationships and work collaboratively with clients family members colleagues volunteers and community partners are essential.
Must be able to complete work with minimal direction and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
