The Role

As an Employment Associate you will work on a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters advising corporate clients and senior executives on all aspects of the employment relationship. Youll be working in a fast-paced environment where client interests are paramount providing timely responses and pragmatic cost-effective solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Advising corporate clients on a wide range of employment law matters including disciplinary and grievance procedures unfair dismissal discrimination TUPE whistleblowing redundancy and restructures

• Providing strategic employment law advice to senior management teams and boards

• Advising senior executives and professionals on all aspects of the employment relationship

• Drafting and reviewing employment contracts settlement agreements policies and procedures

• Handling Employment Tribunal claims and representing clients at hearings

• Conducting investigations and advising on complex employee relations matters

• Advising on the employment aspects of corporate transactions and restructures

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the national employment team and other practice areas

• Contributing to business development activities and client seminars

• Staying current with employment law developments and sharing knowledge with the team

• Delivering exceptional client service with timely responses and practical solutions

About You

Essential Requirements:

• 2-4 years PQE in employment law

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales

• Strong technical knowledge of employment law across contentious and non-contentious matters

• Experience advising corporate clients on employment law issues

• Experience handling Employment Tribunal claims

• Excellent drafting skills for contracts settlement agreements and legal documents

• Strong client care skills with ability to build and maintain relationships

• Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal

• Enthusiasm energy and passion for employment law

• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively

• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously

• Commercially focused with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving

• Commitment to delivering timely and cost-effective solutions

Highly Desirable:

• Experience advising on TUPE and corporate restructures

• Knowledge of the employment aspects of corporate transactions

• Experience advising senior executives on employment matters

• Experience conducting workplace investigations

• Business development experience or interest in client relationship management
