Lead and Develop a Commercial Property Practice

Are you an experienced commercial property lawyer looking for an exciting opportunity to join a growing team Our client a well-established and highly regarded commercial law firm with offices in Liverpool and Manchester is seeking a Senior Commercial Property Lawyer at 5 PQE level to join their expanding property team.

The Role

As a Senior Commercial Property Lawyer you will manage your own caseload of commercial property transactions acting for a wide range of clients including investors developers landlords tenants and corporate clients. Youll handle a diverse range of commercial property matters including acquisitions disposals leases development work and property finance.

The role offers genuine progression opportunities and the chance to work with established clients whilst also contributing to business development. Youll have the autonomy to run your matters whilst also providing supervision and guidance to junior team members.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion
  • Advising on commercial property acquisitions and disposals for investors developers and corporate clients
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial leases for landlords and tenants
  • Advising on property development matters including site acquisitions option agreements and overage arrangements
  • Handling property finance transactions including secured lending and refinancing
  • Advising on landlord and tenant matters including lease renewals rent reviews and dilapidations
  • Conducting due diligence reviewing title and advising on property-related issues
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients across various sectors
  • Contributing to business development and the growth of the commercial property practice
  • Providing commercially focused and pragmatic advice to clients
  • Supervising and mentoring junior solicitors and paralegals
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the property and corporate teams
  • Meeting financial targets and managing matters profitably

About You

Essential Requirements:

  • 5 years PQE experience in commercial property law
  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
  • Proven experience handling commercial property acquisitions disposals and leasing
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial property law land registration and property documentation
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases sale and purchase agreements and related documents
  • Excellent understanding of landlord and tenant law property finance and due diligence procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Excellent client care skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Commercially focused with a pragmatic approach to transactions
  • Strong communication drafting and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience advising on property development matters and site acquisitions
  • Knowledge of property finance and secured lending
  • Experience with investment property transactions and portfolio acquisitions
  • Supervisory or mentoring experience
  • Business development experience and existing client relationships
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment
  • Experience across multiple property sectors including retail industrial and office
