Appointment:Success Coach shall be appointed annually; this is a grant position and will only be available as long as the grant is funded.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 60 college credit hours with a background in education social work psychology or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with youth particularly in educational mentoring or counseling roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students families and school staff.
- Knowledge of academic support strategies social-emotional learning and college/career readiness programs.
- Ability to collect analyze and use data to drive student success and program improvements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team maintaining a proactive solution-oriented approach.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing training and development to further enhance skills and knowledge
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Shall have the ability to sit stoop possibly lift up to 50 pounds or more any and all body movements as related to the job description.
JOB GOAL: The ELEVATE GEAR UP Success Coach will play a pivotal role in supporting the academic social-emotional and college/career readiness development of middle and high school students within Boyd County. Beginning with the 6th and 7th-grade cohort in the 2025-2026 school year the Success Coach will provide guidance and mentorship throughout the students academic journey continuing through their first year of post-secondary education. The Success Coach will support students in navigating academic challenges building resilience and preparing for post-secondary success all while fostering strong relationships with families and community partners. All activities must be coordinated with administration to assure compliant with district policies and objectives. This position requires a passionate dedicated individual with at least 60 college credit hours and experience working with youth especially in rural educational settings.
