We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Roofer/Multitrade on a 3-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 23.94 - 31.76 per hour

Summary:

The Roofer / Multitrade operative is responsible for delivering high-quality roofing and associated trades work across all types of LBI-managed properties including communal areas and social spaces. Working as part of a property services team the postholder will undertake responsive planned empty homes high-value and capital repair works to ensure properties meet the Councils standards of safety suitability and decency.

The role requires practical roofing skills multi-trade capabilities strong knowledge of health and safety practices and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The postholder will maintain accurate records of materials and work completed provide support and guidance to apprentices and uphold excellent standards of customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out roofing works to domestic properties communal areas and Council-managed buildings including responsive planned empty homes high-value and capital works.
• Deliver all tasks to a high standard ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain and contribute to the control of stock and other Council property held on vehicles.
• Ensure tools materials and equipment are used appropriately and maintained in good working condition.
  
• Maintain high standards of quality and service delivery for all residents and service users.
• Participate in training supervision and meetings to enhance skills and service delivery.

Requirements:

• Recognised C&G Apprentice-trained Roofer NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Multi-skills training to NVQ Level 3 or willingness to undertake training.
• Blue Craft CSCS card or willingness to obtain prior to employment.
• Experience delivering high-quality roofing in domestic properties using portable power tools and equipment.
