The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Support Supervisor who acts as the Human Resource (HR) Liaison between Central Office and the ASPC-Eyman.
This role also oversees the daily operations of the Complex HR Office ensuring work productions comply with applicable laws rules policies and procedures at the Arizona State Prison Complex - Eyman.

Job Duties:

- Supervises subordinate staff
- Conducts interviews hires approves leave and trains staff on work related processes procedures and systems
- Assigns and monitors work products of subordinates
- Reviews and evaluates work performance
- Takes corrective action when necessary
- Ensures personnel activity is processed timely and accurately
- Monitors and tracks complex position control
- Prepares requests to fill positions
- Completes vacancy reports for placement of correctional personnel and tracking
- Monitors and reports budgeting and staffing profiles
- Ensures legality of hires
- Proctors examinations for Central Promotional Register hiring
- Schedules interview boards and extends job offers
- Researches investigates and communicates requested information for employees management and Central Office HR on a variety of complex personnel subjects including benefits
- Prepares reports for the Institutions Warden and the Wardens management team
- Initiates desk procedures and other related topics as they align with area of responsibility
- Facilitates team meetings and process improvement work groups
- Oversees research and assigns team members to tasks
- Compiles data for drafting procedures manuals and other related material
- Travels on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Selective Preference(s):

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.

In an effort to maintain a safe environment all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R.11).

All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).

Retirement:

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).

Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
