We specialize in womens and childrens services surgery cardiology oncology orthopedics gerontology psychiatry emergency services and community health June 1998 Howard County General Hospital joined Johns Hopkins June 2023 the hospital was renamed Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is licensed by the State of Maryland through national examination for the practice of nursing. The RN is educationally prepared for competent practice at the beginning level upon graduation from an approved school of nursing. The RN assumes the primary responsibility and accountability for the delivery of all patient care.

Floating would be between two departments and the shift may rotate (days/nights) every 4 weeks.

Education/Experience:

  • BSN Preferred.
  • RNs without a BSN must enroll in a BSN program within 6 months and complete degree within 4 years of their start date.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current Maryland RN license or licensure in a compact state that allows practice in Maryland.
  • CPR required.
  • ACLS required for the following departments: Labor and Delivery (all current Labor and Delivery nurses are to be certified by 2022) ICU ED PACU IMC (SCU) Short Stay (Observation Unit) Cardiac Catheterization (Interventional Cardiovascular lab) Endoscopy Cardiac Rehab Infusion Services Clinic Pulmonary Function.

Salary Range: Minimum $0/hour - Maximum $0/hour. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
