Job Summary

Job Title:	Facilities Maintenance Assistant
Department:	Facilities
Student Employment Type:	Federal Work Study
Responsibilities:	Assist mechanics grounds and custodial staff in performing daily maintenance and operational tasks. Perform general outdoor work such as mowing raking leaf collection and snow removal. Help with campus deliveries trash and recycling collection and the movement of equipment or furniture. Support painting projects and basic repair or upkeep of university facilities. Assist with inventory control and storage organization of tools materials and supplies. Replace light bulbs and perform minor maintenance under supervision. Clean and maintain tools equipment and work areas. Assist with event setup and breakdown including moving tables chairs and signage. Promptly conduct safety checks and report maintenance issues or hazards promptly to supervisors. Support sustainability initiatives such as recycling efforts and waste reduction projects.
Qualifications:	Prior experience preferred but not required Physical demands include but not limited to lifting up to 50 lbs push/pull bend/squat and stairs. Must have a valid drivers license. Must wear long pants and close toed shoes
Hours of Position:	Up to 10 hrs per week
