Job Description:

As an Engineering Technician you will work in a dynamic fast-paced production and R&D environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail. The Engineering Technician will support the engineering design process lead special projects serve as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure product quality and validation. This role involves analyzing technical data providing on-site assistance developing technical content and mentoring team members

In this role you will be a part of the Agile Development Group which is a division that specializes in developing disruptive next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV) advanced radar systems next-generation weapon systems and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs all duties required to assist with the acceptance testing of various products and subassemblies.
  • Run automated and manual test scripts for acceptance testing software/firmware loading and sensor calibration.
  • Operate custom and off-the-shelf equipment including network analyzers power meters spectrum analyzers oscilloscopes digital multi-meters etc.
  • Identify document and perform basic troubleshooting on non-conforming product.
  • Recommends updates for existing processes and reviews test documentation in support of engineering.
  • Verifies quality of tested product. Interprets test results to validate compliance with drawing and other specified requirements.
  • Identifies and corrects conditions that affect employee safety; upholding corporate safety standards.
  • Work in a team setting collaborating with manufacturing planning and engineering.
  • Lifting pushing pulling and/or carrying 25-50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Walking bending sitting standing climbing and reaching for prolonged periods of time on a regular basis.
  • Ability to seize grasp turn hold and operate manufacturing tools and equipment.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts dust fumes chemicals and loud noises.
  • Willingness and ability to comply with all applicable PPE requirements (respirators safety glasses gloves etc.)

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain US Government security clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with C C# Python Java MATLAB LabVIEW or Test Stand
  • Experience in electronics assembly with a focus on harness assembly
  • Experience in Factory Acceptance testing of aerospace system or other industries
  • Proficient in soldering crimping and using hand tools for assembly
  • Proficient in using testing equipment such as multimeters oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification preferred
  • J-STD-001 certification preferred
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings schematics and interconnect diagrams
  • Excellent people skills to include working in a diverse and dynamic team environment
  • Excellent communication skills to include working in a diverse and dynamic team environment
  • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success
  • Active Secret clearance is desired but not required
  • Experience working in an environment that implements ESD and FOD controls
  • Knowledge and understanding of product quality processes
