Job Title: Software Engineer / Software Developer
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Location: Maple Grove MN 55311 (Hybrid/Onsite)
Shift: 1st Shift
Position Overview
This role involves designing and developing custom equipment and software solutions used in R&D process development and manufacturing. You will work onsite with a multidisciplinary engineering team to build and support automated systems used for medical device production. The work includes software development automation machine control and integrating electro-mechanical and robotic components.
Key Responsibilities
Support automation and equipment design projects for Process Development.
Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain development standards and strategies.
Develop electrical and software designs using tools and technologies such as:
- Motion controllers
- Pneumatic and electro-mechanical devices
- Sensors and system controllers
- HMI interfaces
- Safety systems
Plan project tasks monitor progress and ensure deliverables meet customer expectations.
Provide daily updates to supervisors and project leads.
Identify technical risks troubleshoot issues and handle scope changes.
Contribute to FDA/QSR-required documentation (specs qualifications validations).
Deliver operator training for new and existing equipment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Computer or Software Engineering (or equivalent).
3 5 years of engineering or relevant experience.
Hands-on experience with WPF application development.
Strong PC-based machine control background.
Ability to connect technical solutions with operational improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with technologies (C# WinForms Framework/Core).
Knowledge of equipment control systems (PLCs sensors servo/stepper motors pneumatics).
Exposure to vision systems HMI design machine safety and electrical panel integration.
Previous work in manufacturing or production environments.
