Job Summary
- Responsible for quality control of materials in-process items and final shipments following Inspection Manual.
- Able to learn quickly and consistently apply strict daily processes and procedures.
- Independently create inspection reports using a laptop.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with customers shoe factory staff (including senior management and owners) and fellow team members.
Requirements
- Comprehend the physical property criteria for different article types and perform various manual tests to assess them.
- Verify measurements of leather materials.
- Recognize and sort color shades within each production batch.
- Classify color shades and develop color window ranges to define acceptable variations.
- Understand natural leather defects and identify them across various article types.
- Apply leather grading techniques based on the clean area concept.
- Conduct thorough inspection of leather from start to finish.
- Possess knowledge of various leather finishing and tanning methods
- Unwavering honesty and strong ethical standards
- Highly self-driven with the ability to work independently without close supervision
- Confidence to work in locations outside their home city or country when required by business
- Resilience and composure when dealing with stressed or anxious suppliers
- Proficient in spoken English
- Effective communication skills
- Competent in computer use including Windows Outlook and Excel
