Job Summary
Our client a leading national insurance carrier is seeking an experienced Vice President Cyber Underwriter to join their growing Professional Liability team. This role is ideal for an underwriting professional with a strong understanding of cyber risk technology exposures and the evolving cybersecurity landscape. The selected individual will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal Cyber and Technology E&O business managing broker relationships and contributing to the overall profitability and growth of the portfolio.
Salary
- $180000 to $220000/year
- Annual bonus target
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical dental vision and 401(k).
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
- 3 years of Cyber and/or Technology E&O underwriting experience with a carrier or MGA.
- In-depth knowledge of cyber risk management and insurance coverages.
- Proven ability to analyze complex risks and make sound underwriting decisions.
- Strong broker relationships and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Professional designations (CPCU RPLU etc.) preferred but not required.
Job Description
- Underwrite and price new and renewal Cyber and Technology E&O submissions in accordance with company guidelines.
- Evaluate and analyze risk exposures financials and security controls to determine appropriate terms and conditions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and agents across assigned territories.
- Negotiate terms and conditions ensuring profitable growth within underwriting authority.
- Collaborate with actuarial claims and product management teams to refine underwriting strategies and develop new products as needed.
- Stay informed of emerging cyber threats trends and regulatory developments impacting insureds.
- Contribute to the development of underwriting tools guidelines and best practices.
