Our Franklin IN location is seeking a Production Manager. The Production Manager position plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Charts products. This position will oversee the day to day operations of the department including managing the production processes and staff associated with them. This role will be critical in ensuring that Chart achieves key metrics around on time deliver quality safety and efficiencies
What Will You Do
- Coordinate with customers to develop project plan and timelines
- Daily and weekly customer update meetings
- Manage the Production Scheduling and coordination of activities within the respective group
- Initiate inter-departmental collaboration to meet productionproficienciesand quality objectives
- Oversee Production Processes and guide personnel on production plans schedules and key metrics
- Develop/implement process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
- Provide leadership to achieve positive moral production efficiencies adherence to company policies production timelines whilemaintaininghigh levelsof quality and safety
- Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety guidelines/procedures/standards
- Collaborate with Engineering on design new product development equipment specifications appropriate documentation and submittal of NCRs
- Investigate production issues and develop resolutions
- Assistin employee recruitment performance evaluations discipline successionprogramsand retention
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Your Experience Should Be...
- 5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience
- 8 years production/manufacturing processes and techniques experience
- Strong leadershipcommunicationand interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking andproblem solvingskills
- Experience with JD Edwards (preferred) or other ERP systems
Your Education Should Be
- BachelorsDegreeor provenpreviousleadership experience with the Cryogenic Industry
- PreviousProduction leadership experience
- Business Management/Project Management experience
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require
Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
Frequent sitting standing stooping bending twisting walking and occasional crawling
Frequent pushingpullingand handling of material
Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions
