Registered Nurse Neuroscience Unit

Emplify Health by Gundersen La Crosse WI

Join our 24-bed Neuroscience Unit where youll deliver specialized high-acuity care to patients with neurological conditionsall while enjoying life in the scenic Coulee Region.

Schedule

0.6 FTE - 48 hours/2 weeks

- 8-hour rotating day (6:30 AM - 3 PM) and PM (2:30PM - 11 PM) shifts
- Every other weekend
- Three holidays/year

What Youll Do

As a Neuroscience RN youll:

Provide compassionate specialized care to patients with neurological disorders and neurosurgical needs including:
- Spinal surgeries
- Deep brain stimulators
- Brain tumors/lesions
- Aneurysm treatment
- Lumbar drains
- Endovascular stroke treatment
- Seizures
- Post-trauma care
Become NIH Stroke Scale certified and respond to stroke alerts
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team: PTs OTs speech therapists social workers CNAs and fellow RNs

What Youll Need

Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum)
Current RN licenseto practice in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain)
BLS certification(InfantAdult) for Healthcare Providers
Open to new graduates and experienced RNs
