- Masters degree in education.
- Valid Florida teachers certification with coverage in educational leadership or the equivalent and identified subject area(s) of responsibility.
- Three (3) years of Highly Effective/Effective classroom teaching experience.

Responsibilities
- Develop design implement evaluate and revise curriculum and instructional planning systems in assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Develop design implement evaluate and revise professional development activities based on identified instructional practices and student learning goals in the assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Work collaboratively with school and District staff to build capacity to increase student achievement.
- Provide the building principal with regular updates on content specific professional development and teacher needs.
- Support colleagues by providing information mentoring modeling and problem solving strategies that align with the District and School Improvement Plans.
- Review District school and individual inservice registrations and activities related to inservice points in the area(s) of responsibility.
- Align activities in area(s) of responsibility with federal state and District standards in curriculum assessment and professional development.
- Support effective instructional strategies including appropriate use of technology for instruction in assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Participate in textbook supplementary teaching materials and instructional software selection within assigned curricular areas.
- Assist in the development and preparation of components for the Master Inservice Plan for Inservice Education.
- Monitor inservice records and reports required for personnel functions in area(s) of responsibility.
- Develop and maintain communications for department website in area(s) of responsibility.
- Provide opportunities for support staff to receive professional growth in area(s) of responsibility.
- Identify develop and supervise personnel who deliver and assist with curriculum and professional development activities in area(s) of responsibility.
