Lead Landing Gear and Hydraulic Systems Design and Analysis Engineer

The Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Mobility Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) organization is seeking a Lead Landing Gear and Hydraulic Systems Design and Analysis Engineer to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Oklahoma City OK.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead and provide technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems to establish the system design
• Lead activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements
• Lead the development maintenance or modification of system components designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation
• Lead technical meetings and planning efforts presents technical information to wide range of audiences
• Manage supplier development test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals
• Prioritize delegate and track performance and documentation of analyses of fluid systems/mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance components and systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design
• Support proposal preparation and new business development efforts
• Train and coach others
• Work under minimal direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City OK.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)- Level 4:

• Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry
• 8 years of experience with mechanical systems
• 5 years of experience with hydraulic and/or mechanical control systems
• 5 years of experience with basic aerodynamics/fluid mechanics principles
• 3 years of experience working conceptual preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 10 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active U.S. Secret Clearance or higher
• 5 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering schematics and specifications
• Demonstrated project management skills within a fast paced highly integrated environment
• Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct technical meetings and planning
• Experience performing hydraulic / fluid system analysis preferably using MATLAB and/or Easy5 software
• 4 years of experience designing tooling using CAD/CAM software preferably CATIA
• Experience producing technical reports and presentations
• Strong written verbal communications and presentation skills
• Familiarity with engineering processes and methods
• Experience working with cross functional teams
• Experience with Model Based Development tools

Summary Pay Range: $112200 - 151800
