Job Summary
Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting daily Quality System operations including oversight of the Quality Technicians and their daily functions. Supporting Quality Leadership with new product launches with a customer facing approach. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of the Quality System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading or participating in the corrective actions process.
- Supporting or performing Receiving and Final Inspections.
- Facilitating the calibration of Quality and R&D Lab equipment.
- Performing Internal Audits per schedule and direction. Follow to closure.
- Contributing to the generation of standard work instructions and training others.
- Understanding inspection devices and teaching others to be effective with their use.
- Leading or supporting the completion of customer assessments.
- On-site support at the customer if required.
- Follow all company safety policies mandatory PPE requirements and operational guidelines.
- Participate in 5S Kaizen and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on Quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Certified Internal Auditor.
- Understanding of PFMEAs and Control Plans.
- Ability to lead and train others on the team.
- Capable of Leading or supporting the Corrective Action process.
- Basic computer skills (ERP systems Excel data entry).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform frequent standing walking and bending.
- Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial production workflows preferred.
- Exposure to 5S and continuous improvement practices is a plus.
The work environment will be a mix of an office setting manufacturing floor and active construction site. Noise level: Normal warehouse manufacturing and construction noises.
