PurposeofJob

This role is a NON-TECHNICAL role to providesupport to theshift team and daywork team. Primarily for the daily reactive helpdesk monitoringincomingworksandseeingthroughtocompletionandclose-off. Dutieswillinclude escortingsub-contractors;minorPPMworksandassistingtheshiftwiththeirdailytasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensurethatroutinefabricmaintenanceiscarriedouttomeetandexceedexpectations and agreed servicelevelagreements.
• Ensurethatallreactivetasksloggedarecarriedouttomeetandexceedexpectationsand agreed servicelevelagreements
• The GMO will be required to carry out all moves and changes that the client requires to be carried out.
• UndertakepaintingdecoratingandafullrangeofDIYtaskstoensurethemeetingof servicelevelsandtomaintainan attractivedecorativeenvironment.
• Ensuretheloadingandunloadingofstockandappropriateandsafestorageofrelevant equipmentsparesanddeliveries.
• Ensureeffectivelampingreplacementisundertakenforallbulbsandtubesandcleaningof lightingdiffusers in line with BGIS electrical safety rules and LOTO process.
• Assist theBGIS engineeringteam to ensure that all planned and reactive engineering activitiesmeetandexceedboth servicelevelsandcustomerexpectations.
• EnsurethatallrelevantpaperworkiscompletedregardingPPMreactiveandbreakdown works andthatitispassedwithoutdelay to the contractadministrator.
• Assist the Water Treatment Engineer in in the compilation of the Water Management System logbooks as directed by site management.
• EnsurethatMethodStatementsandRiskAssessmentsareprepared ready for supervisor/contract management sign offandusedforalltasks undertaken toensuresafeworkingpractices always.

All RAMS are to be verified and checked by the engineers supervisor and contract staff prior to use.

• Ensure where applicable that comprehensive maintenance records are kept.
• To undertake lone working when and where required subject to passing satisfactory training and appropriate safety measure and control have been implemented.
• To develop a good working relationship with all members of BGIS subcontractors and clients staff.
• Ensuretheprovisionofasafe&healthyworkingenvironmentismetincludingthewearing ofuniformand appropriate andproceduresaswellasclientsitepoliciesproceduresandworking arrangementsas required.
• EnsureaprofessionalimageofBGISandtheclientispresentedtoclientsandvisitorsand ensureexcellenceincustomerserviceis deliveredandpromoted always.
• Ensurethat fabric and engineeringskills aremaintainedthroughacommitmenttopersonal development and life-long-learning.
• EnsurethatBGISandtheclient storageareaismaintained andkeptsafeandtidy.
• Assistwhenrequestedwithroutinedailyandweeklyplantchecksasdetailedinthesitelog books.
• Ensuretheequipment storageareasin thefacilityarekeptclean andtidy daily.
• Escortvisitingsubcontractorsaroundsitetoensuresafeexecutionofservicerelatedtasks andensureRAMS arereviewed by the engineering teams and contract managementaccordingtocompanyandclient protocols.
• EnsuretheplantroomsundertheresponsibilityofBGISarelockedalwaysandkeptina clean andtidycondition.
• To Ensure tasks as directed are completed with the appropriate H&S awareness/implementation.
• EnsuretheprovisionofaSafeandHealthyworkingenvironment. Toincludethewearingof uniformandPPEalways.
• To assist in the operation a Permit to Work System in accordance with BGIS Quality Health & Safety procedures andclientrequirements(or approved clientsystem)

Please note that a GMO who has less than 4 years experience within the M&E industry will be prohibited from writing access & permits to work where RAMS have been signed off by the supervisor/contract manager. Those who fall into these criteria may attend PTW training but for knowledge only. No GMO will have the authority to write electrical permits.

• Ensure the engineering team onsite produce required near miss reports dynamic risk assessmentsanddetailed recordsofsiteactivitiesandensuring anynoncomplianceis challenged andescalatedwherenecessary.

• Thepostholderdoesnothaveanydirectlyreportingstaff.
• This postcarries nodirectbudgetaryresponsibility.

Education Agoodbasiceducationisessentialwithgoodwrittenandspoken

Englishandbasic Mathematicsskills.

Training Formal fabric training

Formal Building Maintenance training

Formal health and safety training.

Experience (Essential) Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligationswithregardtomaintenanceactivities

Workingona clientresidentsite.

(Desirable) MechanicalandElectricalmaintenanceskillsandknowledgeanda goodunderstandingofTrendBMS.

Aptitudes Goodverbal communicationskills andgoodwritten English skills.
