Science Technician What the Role Involves

  • Preparing and maintaining science laboratories including equipment and resources
  • Supporting teachers during practical science lessons across Biology Chemistry and Physics
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed within labs and prep rooms
  • Managing stock and ordering materials for the department
  • Assisting with demonstrations experiments and the smooth running of lessons
  • Interviews to begin w/c 25th August 2025

Science Technician What the School is Looking For

The ideal Science Technician will hold a 2:1 or First Class degree from a top 30 UK University ideally in a science-related subject. Previous child-centred or educational experience is highly valued. Schools seek proactive organised and committed individuals with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. Please note applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.

Science Technician Salary and Contract Info

  • Up to 444 per week pro rata to term time only
  • Contract: Full-time long-term (SeptemberJuly) term-time only
  • Opportunities for future teacher training or extended contracts following a successful placement
