The Sr. Learning & Organizational Development (OD) Manager provides high level services and strategic direction in one or more of the following human resource functions: talent management organizational development and staff development and training. They report to the Deputy Director of Learning and Organizational Development and manage a team of HR professionals located in multiple locations.

The Sr. Learning & OD Manager provides high level services and strategic direction in staff development learning and training and a supportive role in organizational development. The Sr. Learning & OD Manager is responsible for collaborating with TNCs People Team and other leaders to develop and lead talent development and organizational development strategies. The position is responsible for leading significant portions of the teams strategic plan and developing an annual work plan to meet the needs of nearly 6000 internal clients. The Sr. Learning & OD Manager must collaborate with others to pilot new programs and ensure existing opportunities reach the designated internal clients.Ability to travel up to 40% both within the United States and internationally.

The Sr. Learning & OD Manager develops strategic business partnerships with senior leaders and liaisons at the business unit level to establish and implement strategic HR direction to meet TNCs organizational goals and mission. They engage in regular client consultations to identify learning needs and solutions schedule learning opportunities and communicate effectively with clients in coordination with other support data collection analyze data and make decisions using data support the identification of appropriate L&OD metrics and ensure that these are integrated into the teams practices.

The position is responsible for overseeing a team of Regional Learning Managers who deliver learning and organizational development interventions. The Sr. Manager is responsible for developing the capacity of the Regional Learning Managers and builds the Learning & Organizational Development teams capacity to deliver high quality organizational development interventions.The Sr. Manager coaches team members in the following areas: training adult learning experiential learning transformational learning organizational performance organizational design change management strategy design and implementation employee engagement and talent management.The Sr. Manager also serves as the point of contact for a group of internal clients facilitating learning for this client group.

The role supports instructional design and is a champion of internal communications to advance the teams objectives. The Sr. Manager stays up to date on industry trends and identifies opportunities to integrate trends and new tools and knowledge into the teams work.

What Youll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree and 6 years HR related experience or equivalent combination.

  • Experience managing the administration progress and maintenance of human resource functions for one or more of the following: employee relations compensation and performance management benefits payroll staff development/training organizational development and recruiting.

  • Experience working with senior managers to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives.

  • Experience using MS Office software with experience in constructing and producing reports data manipulation and analysis.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.

  • Advanced understanding of fundamental HR concepts processes and services.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and strong client service orientation.

  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal with all levels of individuals.

  • Negotiation skills and experience overseeing contracts.

  • Ability to develop a working knowledge of relevant conservation issues.

  • Excellent presentation skills and training experience in in-person and virtual environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail including experience with Asana or similar project management platform.

  • Experience managing others across multiple time zones and cultures.

  • Experienced team builder include designing and delivering interventions for trust building improved communications leadership and management excellence and new hire orientations and onboarding including senior leaders.

  • Advanced experience and understanding of adult learning approaches especially experiential learning and experienced instructional designer with a preference for candidates with experience using Articulate 360 or similar.

  • Experience working in organizational development including experience with organizational design organizational performance change management organization psychology strategy planning and execution and application of organization key results or balanced score cards.

  • Consultative including with direct reports peers and leaders to achieve desired outcomes and applies mentoring and coaching to build confidence and knowledge.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced stressful and highly visible environment.

Salary Information:

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $93000 $144000 USD. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidates actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors including for example the candidates location qualifications specific skills and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
