Job Summary:

The Yang Lab at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join our team focused on advancing kidney gene therapy. The project integrates in vitro ex vivo and in vivoexperimental approaches using both porcine and human models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct experiments involving gene editing technologies in renal systems.
  • Develop and optimize delivery strategies for genetic therapies.
  • Perform advanced molecular cellular and tissue analyses (e.g. flow cytometry microscopy sequencing).
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of investigators clinicians and trainees.
  • Contribute to publications presentations and grant development.
  • Prepare and submit grant applications

Work Location:

Onsite this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • PhD in molecular biology genetics bioengineering or a related field
  • 10 years of research experience
  • Experience in developing kidney disease models
  • Experience with gene delivery vectors (AAVs LNPs)

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$90000-$105000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
