Position Summary:
The Broadcast Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the timely accurate and flawless execution of live event versioning for sports broadcasts (collegiate and professional). As the final quality checkpoint before content reaches viewers the Broadcast Operator applies event-specific branding formats and customizations per client requirements.
This role demands exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple live events simultaneously. Successful candidates are proactive thrive in a dynamic environment and have a genuine interest to learn broadcast production systems. Prior broadcast experience is not required.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Serve as the final quality assurance step for live event versioning ensuring alignment with client-specific formats and standards.
- Operate event workflows in accordance with established SOPs and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external teams using Zoom RTS Slack and additional communication tools.
- Identify mitigate and escalate potential issues proactively through rigorous quality control checks.
- Troubleshoot technical and workflow challenges resolving issues promptly to maintain service continuity.
- Deliver high-quality error-free versions of assigned events.
- Adhere to each clients escalation preferences and workflow expectations.
- Cross-train across all Broadcast Operations client workflows to ensure operational flexibility.
- Participate in required daily stand-up meetings while fostering a positive collaborative team environment.
Required Skills and Traits:
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours on-site in Liberty Missouri.
- Professional communication skills (internal and client facing) ; must work efficiently with others in a high pressure time sensitive environment.
- Positive extroverted solutions-oriented attitude eagerness to learn and an interest in live sports media/broadcast operations.
- Strong technical aptitude; able to quickly learn new systems and teach them to others.
Work Environment:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk while operating computer-based production systems.
- Moderate office noise (computers communication equipment production chatter).
- Work schedule is driven by the game schedules of our clients and will include nights weekends and holidays. Responsiveness outside standard business hours is required.
