ROLE SUMMARY:
Kings College Murcia is seeking a passionate dynamic and creative Whole School Music Teacher to join our vibrant community from late August 2026. This exciting role offers the opportunity to inspire students across all age groups fostering a lifelong appreciation of music while contributing to the schools rich performing arts culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and deliver engaging high-quality music lessons across primary and secondary phases.
Develop students musical skills through practical theoretical and performance-based learning.
Lead and support extracurricular music activities including choirs ensembles concerts and school productions.
Create a positive inclusive and stimulating environment that encourages participation and confidence in music.
Assess and track student progress providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records.
Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the schools performing arts provision and contribute to whole-school events.
Manage resources effectively ensuring the music department is well-equipped and organised.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE QTS or equivalent).
Strong musical expertise with the ability to teach across different age groups and abilities.
Experience in leading musical ensembles or performances (school-based or external).
Excellent instrumental or vocal skills and confidence in directing groups.
A creative and energetic approach to engaging students in music.
Strong communication and organisational skills with a collaborative mindset.
A commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive musical culture within the school community.
