DUTIES*
The Assistant Director will work full-time alongside the Director to learn the tasks of thejob in preparationto step into the Directors position in the January to April the Assistant Director willwork 5 hours per week with the exception of attending a 4 day conference in Ottawa n January. During this timeduties will includewriting grant proposals scheduling workshops and hiring summer May to August the Assistant Director will work full-timesupervising staff performing administrative duties overseeing curriculum development fundraising (grant applications) marketing delivering workshops and camps as well asworking with parents campers and instructors tosolve problems. For the month of September the Assistant Director may be required to work part-time to conclude summer programming reports.
The hours of work throughout the school year will vary but the average will be 5-8 hours per week the Assistant Director will scheduleshis/her own time to adjust for university demands as well as duties the months of May to Augustthe Assistant Director will work Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm.
QUALIFICATIONS*
The Assistant Director of Eureka! must have prior experienceworking with children in an education or camp setting. Must be a current student at TRU in at least a 4 year program. The candidate must possess people management skills and expertise and must also beencompetentwith wordprocessing data management and have strongwritten and verbal communication skills.
